The “If I could make 10 Trades in the NFL Blog”….

I got a TON of work to do, but I just have to get some fun stuff off my chest regarding trades I would LOVE to see from s Fantasy Football perspective. Not crazy, never going to happen trades like Steven Jackson to the NY Giants (hmmm)…but solid trades that would make room for NFL Players to shine, and Fantasy Football players to take advantage of. I could have gone on a while here, but thought 10 would be a good number to come up with…and Ten Good Trades for NFL teams to consider, make and make the real football fans happy (We’re the real fans…)….

In order I would like to see them happen.

1-Donovan McNabb to the Rams:

Think about this one…we would have TWO quality starting QBs for FF where we now have one. Kevin Kolb in Philly would get Jeremy Maclin and DeSean Jackson and Donovan would get Brandon Gibson and Donnie Avery…sweet for so many players we could draft…and the Rams offensive line would immediately get better with McNabb behind them, so they can draft Mr. Suh (I’m not spending the time on that first name).

Oh, and Steven Jackson could catch about 500 passes from McNabb in 2010 (o.k. that’s an exaggeration).
Updated 4/7/10...Damn! he went to the Redskins...but that's o.k. He is a viable Fantasy option, not great yet. But he'll come cheap at draft time...

2-Michael Bush to the Texans:

Not going to happen, because Oakland finally blew out Mr. Fargas. But this would be a great fit, the Texans run the Zone Blocking, they need a stud and they could feed the Raiders a decent draft pick for a guy Oakland paid almost nothing for. Darren McFadden would slide into the top RB spot in Oakland (and they could bring in help). Bush would move to the AFC South and KILL the Colts, Jags and Titans crummy defensive lines.

Make it happen Al!

3-Marshawn Lynch to the Chargers:

C’mon AJ Smith…don’t be taking a young RB that hasn’t done it before. Revitalize a young man that needs to get out of the cold in Buffalo (and make room for a potential STUD FF RB in Fred Jackson)..Marshawn is still young, powerful and cheap while playing on his rookie deal. The Chargers get a solid RB that takes the bulk of carries and Darren Sproles stays in the role he belongs in... Super mega ultra pass catching stud back and kick returner. Marshawn would score TDs in the warmth of San Diego.

4-Brandon Marshall to the Dolphins:

Not likely, Bill Parcells had a sweaty Antonio Bryant towel thrown in his face back in the day….so he’s no fan of nut case done nothing WRs…but….Miami has a new strong armed starter and no clear cut WR that can do the damage needed to keep up with the Patriots, new tough guy Jets and the better than you know on defense Bills. Marshall would be a tremendous FF get for Chad Henne and his laser rocket arm. Eddie Royal would also gain a little more value and maybe even return from the WR witness protection plan…

Updated 4/14/10...Nice! Nailed this one, the Dolphins will be getting Marshall from the Broncos for a couple of second round draft picks.

5-Tashard Choice to the Lions:

Another “no brainer” FF trade. The Lions are talking a nice game on Kevin Smith, but he was injured badly too close to the end of the 09’ season to be considered a valuable guy in 2010. And we need new legs in the backfield to draft! Tashard is buried in Dallas behind a TD machine in MBIII and a speed merchant that looks like he’ll get a big time shot in 2010 named Felix Jones. Choice would be the 3rd part of a potential stud offense with Megatron, Matthew Stafford and an offensive line that is going to get a huge person and boost in the draft. The residual effect here is the Cowboys now drop down to a two RB team and we can take both guys with confidence. Currently Big D’ is a Big FF mess…

6-Jason Campbell to the Cardinals:

I’ve been yapping all off season that Arizona is NUTS to go with Matt Leinart at QB. He has the arm of Chad Pennington and not the mind of Chad Pennington (that was a nice way to put that wasn’t it?). Derek Anderson was the right idea for AZ (big arm), but the wrong player. Campbell has the perfect arm and delivery for the Cardinals. He throws seeds and needs an offense he can manage that is vertical, none of this quick slant West Coast Offense garbage. Give Jason Larry Fitzgerald, Early Doucet and Steve Breaston and I will give you a HUGE fantasy football QB (not to mention a potential Pro Bowl NFL QB)…The Redskins? They can draft the QB they want in Round #1, then get him up to speed with the WRs they drafted….Santana Moss is cooked.

7-Chris Cooley to the Rams:

Donovan needs a new play friend now that we moved him to St. Louis…and the Redskins have one for him in Cooley who becomes a luxury with Fred Davis a fantastic Fantasy option in Washington. What are the Redskins going to do? Have their rookie starter throw the ball to 100 year old Santana? Nope, he’ll be dumping passes off to Davis..and Cooley could be in St. Louis with his repaired ankle turning a whole offense around…

8-Sage Rosenfels to Oakland:

Not fair! This one is in the news along with the McNabb rumors. Neither has happened so I get to make the FF argument for it. Sage is pretty solid, and could be the second coming of Rich Gannon for the Raiders. A guy who is clearly capable of getting it done that needs a team with the opening for him and the patience to let it happen. Zach Miller, Johnny Lee Higgins and even Darius Heyward Bey would be thrilled to have an actual, real, capable QB throwing them the football. Minny doesn’t need Sage, even if Brett Favre doesn't come back..they have Tarvaris Jackson. What more could they want?

9-Malcolm Floyd to the Jaguars:
This one won’t go down, but I would have Malcolm meet back up with his friend from San Diego…Kassim Osgood (warning…this transaction could piss Osgood off!). Floyd would immediately become a Top 20 WR with the help of Mike Sims Walker across from him, and David Garrard would immediately solidify his spot as a Top 15 QB (whoops, he already is)…The Chargers? They don’t need two WRs 10 feet tall. Vincent Jackson and Antonio Gates are enough when you factor in Darren Sproles pass catching ability. Plus Buster Davis is waiting in the wings….(LOL)…

10-Terrel Owens to the Panthers:
O.K. you got me, I’m an Owens fan and think he would be a GREAT fit for Matt Moore who’s value would spike as a FF backup and potential starter. Steve Smith wouldn’t get the #1 WR he wants, but it would be help AND Owens would be a blocking machine for  DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart. Yes BTW-I do know Owens is a Free Agent…but this is my blog…

That’s 10 transactions that need to happen NOW for Fantasy Football….someone get me on the phone with Roger…

Talk with you next time…
